It emphasizes the need for a multifaceted approach to implement open publishing and reviewing practices, involving researchers, librarians, publishers, and policymakers. The preprint concludes by proposing recommendations for stakeholders to promote greater openness, transparency, and equity in the dissemination of research findings in Africa.
