Schistosomiasis, affects over 250 million people globally, with 90 percent of cases occurring in sub-Saharan Africa. Ghana's Mass Drug Administration (MDA) of praziquantel since 2008 has reduced the prevalence of schistosomiasis butsome areas continue to report high prevalence.
